About Dr. Jaime Schneider
Dr. Jaime Schneider completed her MD/PhD training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, followed by an Internal Medicine residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and a Medical Oncology fellowship at the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center. She currently leads a translational research laboratory that integrates patient-derived samples, genomics, metabolomics, and experimental cancer models to identify new therapeutic vulnerabilities in lung cancer.

The objective of the LCFA/IASLC Translational Research Grant is to support research in translational immuno-oncology undertaken by early-career investigators who aim to improve the care and treatment of individuals with lung cancers.

Suppressing Lung Cancer Progression
Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide, and although targeted therapies have transformed outcomes for many patients, therapeutic resistance remains a major clinical challenge. This project seeks to understand how lung cancers adapt their metabolism to survive treatment and continue growing despite effective inhibition of the primary oncogenic driver.
