Biomarker testing is key in today’s world of personalized medicine. Lung cancer biomarker testing, also known as genetic mutation testing, or genomic testing, looks for the mutations, or “specific biomarkers” in the cells of a tumor. These biomarkers can be used to determine the best course of treatment for a lung cancer patient.
