Vietnam veteran Bill Clevenger was diagnosed with stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer incidentally while undergoing imaging for a stomach issue. His lung cancer was traced back to Agent Orange exposure during his service. Despite being given a prognosis of one to two years, Bill has been thriving for five years thanks to biomarker testing and targeted therapy. Bill attributes his success to the exceptional care he receives from the VA and the unwavering support from his wife, Barbara.
Bill has stepped into the social media world by participating in LCFA’s Breath of Honor campaign, sharing his story to raise awareness and inspire other Veterans to get screened for lung cancer. His journey underscores the importance of early detection, personalized treatment, and comprehensive support for lung cancer patients.
