Our DEI Commitment
Striving to Be a Face of Change in a Diverse World
Lung Cancer Foundation of America (LCFA) is committed to improving health equity for all people living with or at risk for lung cancer worldwide. We believe that access to healthcare should not depend on where you live, what race you are, or any other factors that are obstacles to care.
Lung Cancer Foundation of America (LCFA) is dedicated to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment for all individuals affected by lung cancer. LCFA aims to actively include individuals from diverse backgrounds, support research addressing the unique needs of diverse populations, and create an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and respected.
LCFA acknowledges the existence of healthcare inequity in the U.S. and is committed to reducing disparities and promoting a healthier future for all. The organization is working to implement diversity, equity, and inclusion through various initiatives, such as a multi-pronged public relations outreach strategy, training a diverse group of Speakers Bureau members, and improving accessibility and inclusivity on our website.
LCFA is also mindful of working in a diverse community and is committed to continuous improvement in serving the diverse needs of the lung cancer community. The organization is taking steps to expand its Board of Directors, increase the use of Certified B Corp companies, and address lung cancer disparities with meaningful awareness and educational programs.
